Stand Up Comedy

​Since 2017, Plethos Productions has featured stand up comics in at least 3 live shows per year, in addition to pop up events and open mics. Each season has always included 3 annual shows:
​

  • That’s What She Said (March) – A lineup of 5 female stand up comics. 
  • Uncorked Comedy (June) – A lineup of 5 comics performing at TwiningVine Winery. 
  • Joketoberfest (October) – A lineup of 5 comics bring the laughs to pair with beer and bratz​

As a 501c3 nonprofit, our entire organization is volunteer owned and operated, but we are able to offer small stipends to thank our performers for their time and talents. Rates depend on show budget, size, ticket capacity and performer credentials, but typically range between $20-$100 per performance. 

Starting in Nov 2021, we will be launching a monthly comedy showcase at the Castro Valley Marketplace in Castro Valley. Comedians of all levels are invited participate. Please complete the submission form below.

Comedians must be vaccinated to be considered for the showcase. The Castro Valley Marketplace is located in the heart of Castro Valley and is Bartable.

Taylor Iman Jones is an Actor, Singer, and Teaching Artist based out of New York City. She made her Broadway debut in Groundhog Day the Musical, later originated the role of Mopsa in Head Over Heels, and most recently played Catherine Parr in SIX the musical. Off-Broadway and regional credits include: Andy Sachs in the Chicago production of The Devil Wears Prada,  Scotland, Pa at Roundabout Theater Company, The Tale of Despereaux at The Old Globe in San Diego, and The Who’s Tommy at The Kennedy Center. And she performed with the National tours of Hamilton (Peggy/Mariah) and American Idiot (Extraordinary Girl). As a Bay Area native, you could have seen her performing with American Conservatory Theater, San Francisco Playhouse, Center Rep, Berkeley Playhouse, and many more. Taylor is also a passionate teaching artist, a singer songwriter, and cabaret performer. Find her @taylorimanjones to keep up with her upcoming concerts and productions!
